Toshiro Hitsugaya is the captain of the 10th Division in the Gotei 13. His lieutenant is Rangiku Matsumoto
Appearance[]
Toshiro is short, with turquoise eyes and short, spiked, white hair, which tends to draw attention in the Human World. He wears a standard sleeveless captain's haori with a green sash around his shoulders, held together by a round, star-like clip. The sash holds his Zanpakuto's sheath in place on his back and is tied to it at either end. He sometimes walks around in his tabi. He is relatively young by Shinigami standards, and has the appearance of a child, which makes him the butt of people's jokes from time to time.
Personality[]
Hitsugaya is hard-working and mature, in contrast to his lazy lieutenant. He is easily annoyed by her antics, but they appear to be close. Because of his appearance, he is often mocked and made fun of by others. Despite, or perhaps because of, this, he has developed a rather cold disposition towards others. He is formal and polite, but can be rather icy when annoyed or in the presence of someone he dislikes or doesn't respect.
Likely due to his affinity with ice, Hitsugaya dislikes hot weather and seems to find cold weather comfortable. His favorite food is watermelon, which he would often eat with his best friend Momo Hinamori when they were younger. Momo, in turn, calls him "Shiro-chan", even after he became a captain, which annoys him.
