Ben and Nnoitra loathe each other, Ben for Nnoitra's sexism and attacks on his teammates, and Nnoitra for Ben defeating him in battle. Nnoitra is particularly sadistic to Ben, as when Ben was down, he took great pleasure in kicking him. His hatred is so great, he is willing to team up with Szayel just to get back at him.
