Hitsugaya reluctantly attends the beach party celebrating Aizen's defeat, likely at the insistence of Rangiku or Momo (or both). Due to his distaste for heat, he spends most of his time in a small hut. When the group finds him, Ben forgets his name, much to Rangiku's amusement, and Hitsugaya crankily tries to shoo him away. Momo comes out of the hut and explains Hitsugaya's problem with heat, and Kevin slyly asks if they were interrupting something, much to Momo's confusion and Hitsugaya's fury.

- He is the first Captain of the Gotei 13 to fight Ben.
- His possible crush on Momo Hinamori is mentioned a number of times, usually by Kevin.
- Ironically, instead of fighting against Tia Harribel like in the canon, Toshiro fought with her; in this case, they both fought Baraggan Luisenbarn.
